Chase, BC
Active Transportation Plan

The Village of Chase is embarking on an Active Transportation Plan – a bold new vision to accommodate and encourage walking, cycling and other active modes of transportation.

Using grants from the BC Healthy Community Society and the BC Ministry of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development, the purpose of this plan is to take community energy towards walking and cycling and transform it into a catalyst for improving active transportation options in Chase.

“The Village of Chase will create a network for walking, cycling or any form of physical activity that is safe and enjoyable, by providing convenient connections, supportive policies and programs that improve health and community well-being and happiness.”

The Village of Chase Active Transportation Plan encompasses approximately 3.8km2 on the Southwest banks of the Little Shuswap Lake in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

Focusing on the village core, the active transportation plan aims to create and enhance walking and cycling connections within the village and to the surrounding communities.
